Vancouver Gear Works Ltd (1952) is the parent company of VanGear Arbor Systems Inc. Together the two companies developed the industry leading Involute Arbor System for the Forest Products Industry. The Involute Arbor System was introduced in 1994 and was a vast improvement over the Retec System due to VanGear’s extensive engineering and machining experience. The Involute Arbor System was the first new system to be introduced to the market, and the only one still in use today (over 85% of the mills in Canada and 65% of the mills in the USA). In 2000, The UltraTech Universal Arbor System was introduced to the market as an evolution of these core beginnings. The UltraTech System is the recognized industry benchmark and leading arbor system in today’s forest products market.

UltraTech is a complete system with components precisely engineered to work together. The UltraTech Universal Arbor System consists of specially designed Mandrel, Arbor Sleeves, Saw Blades and a Saw Centering Device. More precise engineering means:
